If you’re viewing this video, then tumblr didn’t eat my queued post!
The person in this video offers what he thinks is the one question that all atheists fear. I’m not fearful of this question at all. I actually relish being asked to prove that God does not exist. As someone who spent years and thousands of dollars searching for God, I’m always more than willing to show them all I did to seek him, only to come to the sad realization that I would never find him, for he is not real. I also find it amusing that he says atheists are guilty of having blind faith in our disbelief in God, the same thing we accuse Christians of having in their belief. Most of you already know how I’d answer this question, but I’d love to know what you would say when asked to disprove the existence of God. Is this something you’re prepared to answer, or would you to have a blank stare?
It is impossible to completely disprove a god. However, the fact that, despite this guy’s claims to the contrary, there is absolutely NO evidence that Jesus was god, or that a god exists at all, as well as the fact that, given all that we know about the laws of the universe, going all the way back to the moment of creation itself, that a god would seem to fulfill absolutely no purpose, to me is the most compelling evidence against one’s existence. No blank stares here. ~ Steve

It’s impossible to disprove a god, but if you’re referring to a specific god (ie Bible god) w/ specified qualities it’s possible to disprove.

I can’t disprove the concept of god to be sure, but I can certainly disprove YOUR particular flavor of it.

It amuses me that he thinks this question is such a fearsome blow, when he cannot answer the simple question of “prove it.”
