Anonymous asked: I know you can help me with this. My cousin and I are having a discussion about homosexuality, he is religious so of course he’s against it. His reasoning for it though is health issues. He is saying they have a shorter life expectancy, because of HIV and alcoholism issues. He is telling me he is against the alcohol lifestyle just like he is against the homosexual lifestyle. And somehow their related according to him. Of course I think this is nonsense talk, but i could use a 2nd opinion please

Sigh…

Heterosexual couples have a higher incidence of STDs.  Does that mean that people should abstain from sex completely?

Monogamous relationships are safer for heterosexual couples?  The same could be same for homosexuals.  Shouldn’t this speak in favor of gay marriage?

Lesbian relationships do not have anywhere need the same Aids risk.  Does this mean that lesbianism is fine and mail gay relationships are not?

Are homosexuals more inclined to alcoholism?  I don’t recall seeing that study (although I would admit that it could be possible do to stress related issues caused by homophobes).

Married couples live longer.  Shouldn’t this be just one more argument to encourage gay marriage?  To counterbalance the deaths caused by Aids?

If your cousin continues to argue against homosexuality despite these facts, does that not mean that he was just using health as an excuse when in fact he just doesn’t like the idea of homosexuals?
