Rick Santorum continued to rail against President Obama’s so-called war against religion during a town hall in Plano, Texas Wednesday night. The former Pennsylvania senator — who has spent the last several days criticizing the government’s requirement that insurers provide contraception coverage and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal’s decision striking down Proposition 8 — accused the administration of “crushing” religion and setting the United States on the path towards executing religious people by decapitation.
Kill Gays? Pastor ‘Kind Of Likes The Idea’ (by TheYoungTurks)
It’s been a busy week for hateful Christian pastors!
Hey moderates, if you don’t want me to assume you are all this hateful, you better get louder in your opposition to these guys. It might very well be just a small minority of Christians who are hateful bigots, but there seems to be an even smaller minority willing to speak out against them in any meaningful way. Your silence makes you an accessory.

Just because it says that THEY can’t do it, doesn’t mean that everyone else can’t, or that they should try and ban it. If the bible said “no Doctor Who on Sunday”, that means christians cannot watch Doctor Who on Sunday, not “go ban watching Doctor Who on Sunday for everyone else just because you’re butthurt about it”
I am not a Biblical scholar, but I would hazard to guess that those who wrote the Bible, or who created the original rules that others copied, were either tribal leaders or holy men who answered to tribal leaders. The rules in the Bible assumed the power of enforcement. So this attitude that you must do what I tell you to do is passed down to today’s church leaders.
Let’s face it…those who didn’t obey the word of “Yahweh” were slaughtered en-mass. The Bible, at least the Old Testament, is not really a live and let live document. It is a “might makes right” document, and if you don’t do what I say, you will die.
What is amazing to me is that people can look at this book, try to enforce it’s hatred, and still have the nerve to call their God all-loving and peaceful.

Child sings, ‘Ain’t no homo gonna make it to heaven’!
This small innocent child is being abused. Of course there are those who will say my use of the word abuse is going too far, but how else do you describe this. What makes this even more chilling is the loud applause. What a good little boy he’s made to think he is.
Hate is a learned behavior. This child is being taught and encouraged to hate people based on their sexual orientation. If unchecked, he’ll grow up to judge and condemn his classmates as he enters adolescence. These are the children, who fully supported by their family and church, torment others to the point of suicide.
Watching this made me sick. I feel as if I should be contacting some child protection agency to get him, and all children away from these people. ~ Kim

A website dedicated to displaying public opinion about any given topic. Currently, “Atheists” is hated at 77% with a whopping 2,321 votes out of 3,033. Let’s do something to change this. Sign up, and show yourself and your peers some love. Don’t let the noisy idiots ruin our good image.
Ha ha. Good image. I see what you did there. :)
Here is the link to “love atheists”
Anything can be used to hate. Get off your high horse. Atheism is not, at its core, a more ‘peaceful’ belief than Christianity.
At it’s core, atheism gives no excuse for hatred of anyone. It also gives no reason for love. It is simply a lack of belief in a deity, and is thus completely neutral toward human relations.
But the problem with Christianity is that it is inexorably intertwined with the rest of that book. Jesus, in several places, reminds people that ALL of the old laws still apply. Therefore there is justification for hatred of homosexuals, for the belittling of women, for the treating of other humans as property, and for attacking your neighboring cities and slaughtering every living thing if they worship the wrong god.
Atheism, at the very least, starts with a clean slate. The slate of Christianity must first be washed clean of bullshit that cannot justifiably be washed.

N.C. Preacher Tells Parents to Crack Wrists, Punch Gay Acting Children
TRANSCRIPT: “So your little son starts to act a little girlish when he is four years old and instead of squashing that like a cockroach and saying, “Man up, son, get that dress off you and get outside and dig a ditch, because that is what boys do,” you get out the camera and you start taking pictures of Johnny acting like a female and then you upload it to YouTube and everybody laughs about it and the next thing you know, this dude, this kid is acting out childhood fantasies that should have been squashed.
Can I make it any clearer? Dads, the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give him a good punch. Ok? You are not going to act like that. You were made by God to be a male and you are going to be a male. And when your daughter starts acting to Butch you reign her in. And you say, “Oh, no, sweetheart. You can play sports. Play them to the glory of God. But sometimes you are going to act like a girl and walk like a girl and talk like a girl and smell like a girl and that means you are going to be beautiful. You are going to be attractive. You are going to dress yourself up.”
You say, “Can I take charge like that as a parent?”
Yeah, you can. You are authorized. I just gave you a special dispensation this morning to do that.”This guy is blatantly inciting his congregation to abuse their children. Terrible person!
But, but, religious freedom.
Wow! No bigotry or abuse here at all!
You see, some person could say these exact things and claim they are being a troll, because this is clearly too absurd to be credible, right? Suckers for believing this stuff?
Bullshit. The absurd and insane are freakin’ everywhere, and people are saying “hallelujah’ for it.

Mr. Bean has some serious brains!
The most effective way to spread atheism.
Homophobia is a private belief. While I would never vote to take away someone’s right to hate gays, I believe we, as a society, can and should band together and declare: Enough is enough.
In our schools and universities, hate is not welcome.
In our entertainment and media, hate is not welcome.
In our everyday conversation, in our workplaces, in our police and fire departments, in our military and even in our churches, hate is not welcome.
We will give you no quarter.

Coexist?
It’s a nice sounding idea.
I mean, what could be wrong with wanting to live side by side with everyone of different religious faith? No arguments. No confrontations. Just agreeing to live and let live, let bygones be bygones, and several other cliches.
And it WOULD be fine, except…
You see, part of the principles that guide many religions is the desire to spread the word.
And, as religions are often defined by the moralities they profess, there is a strong tendency among these religions to get these moralities encoded into laws that affect everyone.
This makes coexistence difficult, to say the least.
But even putting this aside. Even if the respective faiths keep to themselves, there are problems. Try a Google search on “secret prisons for teens.”
One could argue that coexistence means not interfering with the religious practices of others, and therefore we should just ignore this kind of thing. We should let parents whose religion dictates against medical intervention with children let their children not receive proper medical care when very ill. We should let parents repeatedly tell their children that they will go to hell if they don’t behave, to undergo fasting, to be beaten in accordance to someone’s interpretation of scripture.
To stand aside and do nothing while abuse takes place is to take the side of the abuser. This, to me, is unacceptable. Abuse cannot be tolerated under any circumstances, regardless of faith.
So, for your average Christian or Muslim or Mormon family down the street, odds are coexistence is probably fine. But for too many others…? If your religion teaches hate…if your religion teaches blatant falsehoods (creationism) to susceptible minors…if your religion condones abuse…
No, I can’t coexist with that.

Obama Will Execute Religious People
Really Santorum? Really? Is this a political rally or a revival meeting? It’s getting to where I can’t tell the difference anymore. ~ Kim
I’m thinking it’s time to get little Ricky his meds and a nice padded room about now.
Step One: Click Link.
Step Two: Scroll down to find “Report Page” in the left hand column and click it.
Step Three: Select “Hate Group” and “gender or orientation”
Step Four: Encourage others.
Do you know what that sign means?
