Very interesting.  I think, though, that evolution is pretty much already accepted as a reality.  Some people just need more obvious evidence, it seems (by people, I mean creationists, specifically).  Thanks for the contribution!

This is from 2009, and the primate was called Ida.  It was over-hyped, and was shown after more research to likely be a more closely related cousin and not a direct link as was advertised.  It is still a beautifully kept fossil and it is of great interest, but it is not the “missing link”.

Evolution has been thoroughly proven by many other means.  People who are perfectly willing to dismiss all the other evidence will be perfectly willing to dismiss yet another link in our evolutionary chain.

The skeleton known as Lucy of genus Australopithecus, discovered in the 1970s, is far more likely to be a true, “missing link”.
